Georgia Louise

My artistic journey began in 2013 in the studio classroom of Downtown LA's Jewelry District, where I enrolled in FIDM's jewelry design program. Working with torches and tools in a hands-on studio environment, I discovered my passion for transforming metal into wearable art. This education led to valuable professional experiences with Workhorse Jewelry and Skydog Jewelry, where I refined both my metalsmithing techniques and business understanding.

As my craft evolved, I found myself drawn to explore another creative dimension through a two-year program at the Gaia School of Healing with Sage. There, I expanded my artistic perspective by learning to make plant medicine and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Through practices like tea meditations, I developed a more nuanced understanding of plants that has profoundly influenced my design approach.

After returning to my roots in New Jersey, I established my own studio where these two artistic paths converge. My jewelry now reflects this dual influence—metalwork informed by a deep appreciation for natural elements and patterns. Each piece emerges from careful observation of my local environment and the materials themselves, allowing the inherent qualities of metals, stones and elements of nature to guide my designs.

Through my company Turn to Nature, I share this integrated creative vision. I approach adornment as a thoughtful practice that connects wearers to the natural world in subtle yet meaningful way. My design process embraces the belief that artistic expression can serve as a bridge between people and the earth that inspires us.

When I'm not at my jeweler's bench, you might find me leading plant meditations, collaborating with local artisans and naturalists, or gathering inspiration from the landscapes around me. My work represents the intersection of craftsmanship and natural observation, creating pieces that celebrate the relationship between contemporary design and the timeless patterns of the natural world.

My jewelry stands as a personal artistic statement—a careful balance between technical precision and organic influence, each piece inviting the wearer to carry a small element of the natural world with them.
